Migration

Since I was child me mude

 

Ever since I have conscience I remember having always lived in the same house, with the same furniture, the same rooms, and the same walls always. I don’t recall ever living in a house other than the one I am currently in. In my mind I have the memory that I have always lived in the same house. In fact, I already know the whole city, I know all the streets, the shopping centers, the parks, and the main buildings of my city.

 

Yesterday afternoon I saw my grandfather sitting in the living room alone, so I decided to go talk with him, we started talking about how I was doing at school, and different experiences that he told me about his life. At that time, when he told me about his experiences of his life, he mentioned the issue that many years ago my family and I moved house, but not only was that, but we moved from a rural area to the city, but I don’t remember that

 

He told me that that time when we moved, my family went through great problems due to the move, he told me that they had experienced all kinds of problems that could be presented to a person or to the whole family.

 

He told me that the first problem my family had was getting used to the city since they were used to the silence of the rural area and in the city, there was the noise of cars or simply the noise of the city. that is generated by all the factors that exist in it. They were used to having cattle or harvesting crops, but that did not exist in the city and they had to find another job.

 

The moment of finding a job was also a big problem since many companies or businesses did not want to give them work, for the simple fact of being people from the rural area, but at the moment they are with a stable job. When they didn’t have a job the economy in the house was very difficult

 

Another problem that my grandfather told me about is the discrimination that they experienced just for being from a rural area, he told me that many people looked at them badly at the bus stops, in the first jobs that they had he told me that other coworkers treated them badly, discriminated against them and made them feel they were worth less. But he told me that one day his boss saw that problem and he support for the idea of discriminating against them, and fire them from work.

 

He told me that all the problems that my family went through, has helped them to be stronger, to be able to face the different problems that present in life, he also told me that those problems helped them to be able to unite more as a family, and create a better family bond. And that’s all. Thank You
